Indira gandhi nahar परियोजना प्रकृति की विषमता के खिलाफ मनुष्य की साहसी लड़ाई का एक उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है। इस सहायक परियोजना का उद्देश्य पश्चिमी राजस्थान की प्यासी मरुभूमि को हिमालय के पानी से सिंचित करना और करोड़ों निवासियों या इस क्षेत्र को पीने का पानी उपलब्ध कराना है।
indira gandhi nahar project is an excellent example of courageous fight of man against oddness of nature. Aim of this ambitious project is to irrigate the thirsty desert land of western Rajasthan with Himalaya's water and provide drinking water to crores of inhabitants or this area.
Origin of this canal is from Harike barrage situated in Punjab. From Harike, 204Km Long Indira Gandhi Feeder of takes, Which has 170 Km. length in punjab & Haryana and balance 34 Km. in Rajasthan. This canal enters in Rajasthan at Hanumangarh. From tail of Indira Gandhi Feeder 445 Km. long Indira gandhi main canal starts which passes through sri ganga nagar and bikaner districts and ends at Mohangarh in Jaisalmer The project has been envisaged for utilization of 7.59 MAF water out of Rajasthan’s share in surplus water of Ravi-Beas rivers.
इस नहर की उत्पत्ति पंजाब में स्थित हरिके बैराज से हुई है। हरिके से, 204Km लॉन्ग इंदिरा गांधी फीडर ऑफ टेक, जिसमें 170 कि.मी. पंजाब और हरियाणा में लंबाई और शेष 34 कि.मी. राजस्थान में। यह नहर राजस्थान में हनुमानगढ़ में प्रवेश करती है। इंदिरा गांधी फीडर 445 किलोमीटर की पूंछ से। लंबी इंदिरा गाँधी मुख्य नहर शुरू होती है जो श्री गंगा नगर और बीकानेर जिलों से होकर गुजरती है और जैसलमेर के मोहनगढ़ में समाप्त होती है। रावी-ब्यास नदियों के अधिशेष जल में राजस्थान के हिस्से में से 7.59 MAF जल के उपयोग के लिए इस परियोजना की परिकल्पना की गई है।
For the first time in the history of 71 years in the Indira Gandhi Canal, the lifeline of farming and drinking water in the Western category, the 40-day closure will last from 30 March to 26 May.
