परिभाषा:

एक्सपेनशन कार्ड एक तरह का कार्ड या अडेपटर होता है जो की कम्प्युटर की क्षमता को बढ़ाने के लिए और कम्प्युटर की अनुकूलता को बढ़ाने के लिए होता है। इसलिए हम एक्सपेनशन कार्ड का इस्तेमाल करते हैं। यह सिस्टम की क्षमता को बढ़ाने के लिए काफी उपयोगी माने जाते हैं।  

Definition: 

An Expansion Card is a type of card or adapter that is meant to increase the computer's capability and to increase the compatibility of the computer. That's why we use expansion cards. These are considered to be quite useful for increasing the capacity of the system.

• नेटवर्क कार्ड (Network card)–

 नेटवर्क कार्ड कम्प्युटर सिस्टम को कम्प्युटर नेटवर्क को इंटरनेट से जोड़ने के काम में आता है और कम्प्युटरो के बीच संचार में भी काम आता है। नेटवर्क कार्ड को हम नेटवर्क अड़ेपटर ओर नेटवर्क इंटरफ़ेस कार्ड (NIC) भी बोलते हैं। एनआईसी कार्ड में नीचे की तरफ पिन होती है जिससे की यह एक्सपेनशन स्लॉट में लगाए जा सके जो मदरबोर्ड में है। इसी में पीछे की तरफ एक आरजे – 45 नाम का पोर्ट होता है उसमे हम लैन नेटवर्क से इसको आसानी से जोड़ सकते हैं। इसमे भी दो तरह के एनआईसी कार्ड होते हैं  एक वायर नेटवर्क के लिए और एक बिना वायर वाले नेटवर्क के लिए। वायर नेटवर्क कार्ड में पीछे की तरफ एक पोर्ट होता था जबकि बिना वायर के कार्ड में एक ऐंटीना होता है।

Network card - 

A network card is a computer system used to connect computer networks to the Internet and also to communication between computers. The network card is also called the Network Adapter and Network Interface Card (NIC). The NIC card has a pin at the bottom so that it can be placed in the expansion slot which is in the motherboard. In this, there is a port named RJ-45 on the back side, in that we can easily connect it to the LAN network. It also has two types of NIC cards.

One for a wire network and one for a non-wired network. The wire network card had a port at the back while the card without the wire has an antenna.

·   विडियो कार्ड (video card)– 

    यह कार्ड ग्राफिकल इंटरफ़ेस जैसे की इमेज, विडियो आदि को सिस्टम में दिखाने का काम करता है। यह ज्यादा प्रोसेसिंग की मदद से निर्देशों को ग्राफिक्स में बदलने का काम करता है। इसे हम ग्राफिक कार्ड ओर डिस्प्ले कार्ड भी बोलते हैं। विडियो कार्ड का अपना एक अलग प्रॉसेसर होता है जो की ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम (operating system) और मॉनिटर पर डिस्प्ले दिखाने का एक जरिया होता है। यह मदरबोर्ड से पिन की मदद से नीचे की तरफ जुड़ा हुआ होता है और इसमे काफी अलग अलह तरह के पोर्ट भी होते हैं जो की काफी तरह के आउटपुट उपकरणो को जोड़ने का काम करते हैं जैसे की मॉनिटर, प्रॉजेक्टर आदि। यह बड़े डाटा स्लोट्स से जुड़े हुए होते हैं जैसे की पीसीआई स्लॉट और एजीपी स्लॉट यह दोनों स्लॉट मदरबोर्ड में ही होते हैं और इन्हे इन स्लोटों से जोड़ा जाता है।

Video card - 

    This card serves to show graphical interface such as images, video  etc. in the system. It works by converting instructions into graphics with the help of more processing. We also call it graphic card and display card. The video card has its own separate processor which is a means of displaying the operating system and the display on the monitor. It is attached to the motherboard with the help of pins downwards and also has a very different type of port. Which work to connect many types of output devices such as monitors, projectors, etc. They are connected to large data slots such as PCI slots and AGP slots. Both these slots are in the motherboard itself and are connected to these slots.

·     मॉड़म (modem) – 

    मॉड़म भी नेटवर्क कार्ड के जैसा ही होता है पर यह पुरानी तकनीकी से बना हुआ है। यह कम्प्युटर सिस्टम को इंटरनेट से जोड़ने के लिए टेलीफ़ोन लाइन का इस्तेमाल करता है। आरजे – 11 कनैक्टर के लिए इसमे ज़्यादातर दो पोर्ट होते हैं। पहला पोर्ट टेलीफ़ोन लाइन से सिस्टम को जोड़ने के लिए काम में आता है और दूसरा टेलीफ़ोन लाइन को जोड़ने के लिए काम में आता है। यह अपने सिस्टम की टेलीफ़ोन लाइन के डिजिटल सिग्नल को ऐनेलोग सिग्नल में बदलने का काम करता है।

 

  Modem - 

Modem is similar to a network card but it is made up of old technology. It uses a telephone line to connect the computer system to the Internet. For the RJ-11 connector, it mostly consists of two ports. The first port is used to connect the system to the telephone line and the second one is used to connect the telephone line. It works by converting the digital signal of the telephone line of its system to an analogue signal.

औडियो कार्ड (audio card) – 

औडियो कार्ड इलैक्ट्रिकल सिग्नल को ध्वनि के लिए औडियो सिग्नल में बदलने का काम करता है जिससे की हम उस ध्वनि को सुन सकें। औडियो कार्ड में बहुत तरह के पोर्ट और जैक जुड़े हुए होते हैं जिसमे हम हैडफोन, माइक्रोफोन, स्पीकर और बाकी के डिजिटल औडियो उपकरणो को जोड़ सकें।

Audio card - 

Audio card works by converting electrical signal into audio signal for sound so that we can hear that sound. Audio cards have a variety of ports and jacks connected to which we can connect headphones, microphones, speakers and other digital audio devices.
